• How do I book
  Please choose the boat from the selection in our website. You can check live availability in the ´Calendar´ section. Please choose your proffered dates and click on ´request to book´.
  You can also email our charter team on info@astrayachtingibiza.com with the following information: date, amount of people and approximate budget. We will send you the selection of the boats available.
  The next step would be the reservation deposit payable by either bank transfer or credit card.
  After that the ship is reserved exclusively for you, and we will be in touch with full details and instructions by email.
• Can I rent a boat without a captain
  No. All of our boats are chartered with a skipper
• Can I rent a boat for a few days
  Yes. Please check availability in our online calendar
• Can I rent a boat for a half-day
  Yes you can. It will not affect the price in the same way however, but you will get a discount from a full-day price. Subject to availability.
• What is your cancellation policy
  In order to guarantee a booking the client needs to realize a deposit of 50%.
  In the unlikely event of having to cancel the chartered boat, the following refunds of the deposit will be applied:
• No refund

• • • Booking cancelled after the confirmation
    • No-Show

• 100% refund
  • • Meteorological conditions don’t allow the charter to take place on the reserved date without possibility to reschedule a charter from either Astra Yachting Services or the client side. This will be applied by wind gusts of 25 knots and above and/or rain at the time of departure.

• • Force Major (serious personal or familiar circumstances)
  • Technical failure without possibility to reschedule a charter from either Astra Yachting Services or the client side.

• What is the duration of the charter
  The charter duration is usually 8 hrs/day, but Astra Yachting Services is pleased to offer you an extended time:
  Embarking – from 10:00
  Disembarking – before the sunset
• Can I sleep on the boat if I have it for a long rental
  Yes you can. Extra €100 / linen charge per day will be added to the rental price
• What if the weather is bad on the day of my charter
  The weather in Ibiza is usually perfect for charters all summer long.
  The weather is considered not suitable for charter when there are wind gusts of 25 knots and above and/or rain at the time of departure.
  In this case we will try to reschedule your charter for the first day possible or issue a full refund.
• What if I miss my charter due to unexpected problems
  There’s no refund for last-minute cancellations because the boat is reserved and prepared exclusively for you.
  For early cancellations please contact our charter team.
• Children policy
  Please keep in mind that children count as adults when it comes to the boat capacity allowance.
  Please get in touch in advance to let us know the age and the height of the children so we can organize live jackets for them.

Remember the following:

• • Children should be accompanied by an adult at all times. It is not the responsibility of the crew
  • Children should remain seated during the times when the boat is moving
  • It would be a good idea to rent a boat with enough shade and an extra cabin so the children can have a place to hide from the sun and rest
  • Bring sun caps, sunglasses and high-factor sun protection
  • Do not jump in the water when the engine is running

• Why 12 people maximum
  According to the Spanish law only 12 people including the crew are allowed on chartered boats. Beside the law, we have to consider each boat’s charter permission. Therefore there can be less than 12 people allowed on board. Please see your chosen boat specifications.
• Am I insured in case of any accidents
  All of our boats have complete charter passenger insurance
• Do I need to tip the crew
  Tips are purely voluntary and would depend on your overall satisfaction level of your boat trip.
• What is included in price

  • Legal mooring at the home port of Ibiza

NOT INCLUDED:

There are no hidden costs.

• Can I bring my own food and drinks
  Yes you can bring your own food and drinks.
  Please remember the following foods are not allowed on board due to possible damage of the wooden deck:

• • Chips
  • Oily foods
• Do you have music on board
  Most of the boats are equipped with sound system. Please see specifications of your chosen boat.
• Can you book a restaurant for us
  We can suggest the best restaurant for your group depending on your chosen route and make a reservation.
• What are the best routes
  Our boat crew will be happy to choose the best route according to your needs and preferences and of course depending on the weather on the day of your charter.
• Is there any snorkeling equipment on board
  Each boat has snorkeling equipment included in price.
• Does our captain speak English
  All of our crew members speak Spanish and English.

• How can I pay
  In order to make a reservation 50% of the full amount is required by either credit card or a bank transfer.
  The rest 50% as well as fuel can be paid on the day of the charter by card or in cash.
  Fuel will be charged at the end of the charter according to the fuel register.
• Do I need to pay the fuel separately
  The cost of fuel will be calculated at ah hourly rate and should be paid at the end of your charter.
  Each boat has approx. fuel consumption included in its specifications, normally 50-200 L/h depending on the engine.
  Approx navigation time Ibiza-Formentera-Ibiza is around 1,5-2 hours.
• Is captain included in price
  Yes the price includes skipper services
• How much is the damage deposit
  Damage deposit depends on each boat and varies from €… to €…
  Insurance will cover the majority of damage cases however.
• When do I get my damage deposit back
  You will receive your deposit back at the end of the charter.

• What if we are more than 12 people
  According to the Spanish law only 12 people including the crew are allowed on chartered boats.
  For the groups over 12 people we recommend renting 2 or more boats, depending on the amount of people.
• Can I rent a Sea Bob
  You can ask for any water toys rental, like Sea Bob, Jet Ski or Flyboard, our charter team will be happy to assist you. Please remember that extras are not included in price.
• Can I cook on the boat
  It depends if the boat is equipped. Please check your chosen boat specifications.
  Most of our clients prefer to enjoy delicious food at one of beach restaurants of Formentera or Ibiza.
  You can also request a catering on board if you wish.
• Can I make any special requests (flowers, live music, catering etc)
  To make your boat trip an unforgettable experience you can request anything you wish. Please contact our charter team and we’ll be happy to help you. Please remember that extras are not included in rental price.
• What should I wear
  There’s no dress code but please remember that shoes are not allowed on board.
  Also for the restaurant reservations keep in mind that most of the restaurants don’t allow swimwear only.
• What should I take with me on board
  Most importantly bring your smile, because you have an excellent boat trip ahead!
  Also don’t forget swimwear and sun cream.
  All of our boats have complimentary drinks and snacks, towels and snorkeling equipment included in price. Please contact our charter team for any special arrangements, like champagne, flowers, fruits or catering and we’ll be happy to assist you.
• Do I need to bring towels
  You don’t need to bring any towels; all of our boats have them on board.
• What do you normally do on the boat
  The choices are many.
  Most of our clients prefer to enjoy a day visiting Formentera and a neighboring island of Espalmador with crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches followed by lunch in one of the best beach restaurants.
  Our team will be happy to advice you best routes and activities depending on your wishes and can even book a restaurant for you. Our captains know Ibiza waters like the palm of their hand and will make sure you make to most of your charter.
• Do you have first-aid on board
  All of our boats have first aid on board.
• Can I bring pets
  Unfortunately pets are not allowed on board due to safety regulations.
• Can we embark at our villa instead of going to the port
  We recommend embarkation and disembarkation from the boat’s legal moorage at the port. To pick up guests from another location would depend on its safety, extra fuel cost, sea state and the shore draft.
